3. National visa for family reasons (new from 1st June 2024)
If you are a family member of an Italian or EU citizen who settles in Italy, you can request the National visa for family reasons. This visa is:
- Free
- Valid for 365 days with multiple entries
- It must be converted into a residence permit within 8 days of arrival in Italy, by presenting the kit at the post offices
⚠️ It is not foreseen for stays of less than 3 months, for whom a free tourist visa is available.
